Here are some frequently asked questions about hypnosis -

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply a state of relaxation where the conscious mind is quiet, allowing the subconscious mind to be open to finding the real answer to your questions.

Does the hypnotist have control over me?

Absolutely not. This is a common misconception people have after seeing hypnosis on TV or during a stage show. No one can be hypnotized against their will. This is why only volunteers are chosen to participate in stage shows. One important role of your subconscious mind is to protect you from harm. The subconscious mind can choose to accept or reject any suggestion. Hypnotists do not possess any special powers…they are simply skilled at guiding you through the process. Only you can change yourself.

How will hypnosis help me?

The human mind is like an iceberg. Imagine that the portion above the water is your conscious mind. This is all that people tend to see, forgetting about the vast and powerful subconscious hidden below the surface.

Hypnosis works with your subconscious mind. This is the part of our mind that stores our memories, habits and emotions. It also controls all of the ‘automatic’ functions of your body, including healing.

Hypnosis can help you discover any emotional blocks that might be preventing you from achieving your desired goals in life. These emotional blocks might be due to negative emotions, memories or traumatic events from your past. By regressing back and dealing with the initial sensitizing event you’re able to take control of your emotions.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, hypnosis is very safe. In over 200 years of recorded history of hypnosis, there has never been a case of anyone ever getting 'stuck' in hypnosis; it is simply not possible. Nobody can keep you in hypnosis against your will, because hypnosis is a completely voluntary state of mind. Even the American Medical Association has recognized hypnosis as a legitimate and safe approach to medical and psychological problems since 1958.

How many sessions will I need?

Seeing results with regression hypnosis usually requires only 1 or 2 sessions. This is because we will get to the source of your issue right away. The first session will take about 60-90 minutes and the second will be about 60 minutes.

Most other forms of hypnosis require between 5 and 9 sessions to implant a direct suggestion. Though this has been helpful to many people, it's often only a band-aid fix that requires the client to come back in for follow-up or 'maintenance' sessions.
